Beyond Borders

Harar, Lamu & Stone town Connected

Explore the profound connections between Harar (Ethiopia), Lamu (Kenya), and Stone Town (Tanzania) in this duo exhibition by photographers Sehin Tewabe and Abinet Teshome. Through over 5,000 images captured during a year-long journey, the exhibition highlights shared African heritage, revealing parallels in language, culture, and architecture. Curated by Eyoeal Kefyalew, these photos tell stories of beauty, resilience, and simplicity, reclaiming African narratives through African eyes. Presented by Aratwi Gallery, this milestone marks the first duo exhibition by its founders, inspiring viewers to rediscover the richness of their own lands and cultures.
